Foreign Travel Policy

I have been lucky to travel all over the globe doing my job, and meet and work with amazing people from varied and beautiful cultures. 

However I have grown increasingly uncomfortable with the ideologies and practices of the governments of some of the countries I have visited. 

I feel I am now comfortable with the risk of losing work to make a small simple stand by politely declining work opportunities in any of the 11 countries where homosexuality is not just criminalised, but remains a capital offence; punishable by death. 

As of January 2022, according to humandignitytrust.org, these countries are:

• Afghanistan
• Brunei
• Iran
• Mauritania
• Nigeria
• Pakistan
• Qatar
• Saudia Arabia
• Somalia
• United Arab Emirates
• Yemen

I don't believe any event, irrespective of import, client or financial clout, is worth compromising ones principles for, and if we all took a stand more often, our world would be a kinder, fairer place sooner rather than later.
